You can turn back time with a Mini Face Lift. As we age, our face begins to sag and the tight youthful skin is a thing of the past. A mini face lift can freshen up our face and address problem area such as the, jowls and lower face. Fillers can be used in conjunction with the procedure to lessen the appearance of the nasolabial folds or marionette line around the mouth.

The mini face lift is performed by Dr. Klainer by making small incisions so muscle and skin tissue can be lifted and tightened. Scars are hidden so the tell-tale signs of the lift aren’t visible. Younger patients typically like this procedure because it brings back a youthful appearance without complete facelift surgery. If done early enough, the mini face lift can even help prevent signs of aging.

Smaller procedures can sometimes be performed using a local anesthetic while larger procedures are done under general anesthesia. During the procedure, the areas operated on may include the lower face, neckline and jaw line.

Who is a good candidate for a Mini Face Lift?

Both men and women in their 40’s tend to be good candidates. At this age, the beginnings of sagging at the jaw line and neck can easily be corrected and act as a preventative aging procedure. Also, those that have had a full face lift can have a mini left to make minor adjustments to the neck, face and jowls.

What is the length of recovery for a Mini Face Lift?

Generally, the recovery period is relatively short if done under local anesthetic. If a general anesthesia is used, patients should expect a slightly longer period of recuperation since the procedure would be more extensive. The face is wrapped after surgery to reduce swelling and bruising. Care should be taken when sleeping to not put pressure on the face. Usually one week after your procedure, you can return to normal activity.
